The purpose of the Norcliffe Foundation is to improve the quality of life in the Puget Sound Region of Washington State.

The foundation has funded 1,570 grants to 892 organizations totaling $137,363,635 over the past five years. Past awardees include: Friends of Waterfront Park, Seattle Children's Hospital, Fulcrum Foundation, The Seattle Aquarium Society, Outdoors for All Foundation, and the Washington State Boys and Girls Club Association.
?The Foundation does not make grants to organizations for deficit financing or debt reduction.
Eligible applicants are 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations located within the following eleven Puget Sound counties of Washington State (with a particular focus on the Seattle area): Island; Jefferson; King; Kitsap; Mason; Pierce; San Juan; Skagit; Snohomish; Thurston; and Whatcom.
Applications are accepted online on an ongoing basis. There are no calendar deadlines for submitting requests. Applicants should allow up to six months for a decision. The foundation does not have a letter of inquiry process, but if you would like to touch base about your project prior to submitting a full application, you are welcome to contact the foundation.
The Norcliffe Foundation provides support to a wide variety of organizations and projects. Grant size depends on the scope of the project and the capacity of the organization. Nearly 60% of the grants made are $15,000 or less.
