    Summary

    The Kerr Foundation supports programs, organizations and institutions that provide new or enhanced opportunities for those within the granting areas, particularly the young.


    Project Categories include:

    1. Capital - Bricks and mortar projects, including equipment;
    2. Program - Programs having an objective and specified time span; and
    3. Operating - Funds to be used to cover basic ongoing administrative and personnel expenses.

    Funds are provided to the following types of projects and organizations:

    1. Education - Institutions of elementary, junior high, and pre-collegiate organizations along with institutions of higher learning to include health science centers and medical research done by educational institutions
    2. Arts and Culture - Organizations in the visual arts and performing arts areas, museums and libraries.
    3. Health - Institutions providing health care, doing medical research, or outreach organizations employing primarily professionals from the allied health area.
    4. Human Services - Organizations providing services in diverse areas to the public, and specifically to the disadvantaged, people with special needs and the elderly.

    Additional Information

    Favorable consideration of a proposal will normally be in the form of a challenge grant. This mean that the organization/institution approved for a grant must first, in order to receive payment of the amount of the grant from The Kerr Foundation, Inc., raise or secure grants, donations and pledges in a total amount equal to that specified in the Kerr grant.

  • Eligibility Details

    The Kerr Foundation, Inc. supports 501(c)3 organizations in Arkansas, Missouri, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas, and Washington, D.C. Oklahoma organizations will receive first priority for available funds.

    Deadline Details

    A letter of inquiry is required before a formal grant application can be submitted. All LOIs must be received and approved by April 30, 2024 and the grant application deadline will be June 30, 2024. A similar deadline is anticipated annually,
